Moms Talk: Healthy Eating Habits

Grosse Pointe parents share your tips about how to establish healthy eating habits early.

Parents of young children have a variety of challenges, and one of the most important responsibilities is establishing healthy eating habits. 

It might not be an easy road. Some children are sensitive to textures, others to color or smells. Temperatures can also have an impact. 

One of our Moms' Council members, Amber Henness, who has two daughters ages 4 and 8, has established a routine with vegetables. Henness first prepares the vegetables and allows her daughters to eat those while she finishes making the remainder of dinner.

Her 4-year-old recently identified brussel sprouts as her favorite during a trip to the grocery store.
