Moms Talk: Preschools
It's the time of year when all the area preschools are campaigning for enrollment for next year.

Most of the area preschools have hosted open houses or will soon. Now it's time to make some decisions and narrow the possibilities. Which preschool will best fit your child? Your family's lifestyle? Your budget?
The decision may be harder for some than others, especially for first-time parents who are entering the big world of school again, only this time as parents.
An endless list of questions could swirl around one's head: Which schools have the best teacher-to-student ratio? Which schools do I like? Why? What is the curriculum? How do teachers address problem children? How do they address discipline? Do they help with potty-training? And on and on the list could go.

If there is nothing else parents could agree upon, the one agreement is that all parents want the best for their children. They want the best opportunities, the best education and the best of the best generally.
This week's edition of Moms Talk will focus on choosing a preschool and all the decisions that come with it. Not to mention the worries, the joys and the in-between.

This week's question: Preschool—What factors are the most important to consider? What are good indicators for parents? How can a decision really be made based on one visit/interaction with staff?
There are so many preschools, the puts out an annual guide that contains basic information. They also hold a preschool fair where representatives from each school are available to parents for questions.
