University Liggett Tennis Places Fifth at State Finals
Alex Petipren and Patrick Thomas win championship at No. 2 doubles.

finished fifth at the Division 4 tennis state finals at Jenison on Saturday, according to mhsaa.com.
Alex Petipren and Patrick Thomas of University Liggett won the championship at No. 2 doubles with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Alex LeMire and Cal Wila of Grand Rapids West Catholic.
The Knights’ Austin Petipren placed second at No. 3 singles.

Other players for University Liggett were Garratt Mallires (No. 1 singles); Phillip Pierce (No. 2 singles); James Jurcak (No. 4 singles); Boris Canzano and Robert Stanley (No. 1 doubles); Neil Sekhon and Alan Jurcak (No. 3 doubles); and Anthony Palleschi and Patrick Diaz (No. 4 doubles).
