Woods Gets New Emergency Siren
Director of Public Safety informs residents of new operational procedure to test the siren monthly.
A new emergency siren has been installed behind the city garage at 20025 Mack Plaza. Director Andrew Pazuchowski issued a letter to residents informing them of the new test procedures.
The siren was funded through an emergency management grant from Wayne County and is intended to help give the Woods residents more complete coverage. Residents will now be alerted of severe weather or emergencies by two sirens, the first being at the .
Beginning March 5, the new siren will be tested one a month on Saturdays at 1 p.m. for a duration of one minute, according to Pazuchowski's press release.
