You Said It: Should the Pointes Consolidate?

As each of the Grosse Pointes prepare to balance a budget for the 2011/2012 fiscal year, there is much discussion about consolidation. The talk isn't new but officials are saying its more of a real possibility now as compared to the past. 

Each of the Grosse Pointes are losing revenue after another drop in home values. Officials in each city are looking for ways to maintain services at the same level residents have come to expect on fewer dollars. 

The Pointes are not alone in this challenge as many communities throughout Michigan are facing similar cuts and making tough decisions. So Patch asked: Would you like to see any form of consolidation in the Pointes? If so, in what areas and why?
