Don’t let love get you down: no matter what kind of Valentine’s Day you had, this Saturday is all about one thing: roller derby.
Mt. Clemen’s own Bath City Roller Girls hits the track for the second time in 2013, facing the Mitten Mavens, a Lansing-based roller derby league, at 8 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Gibraltar Trade Center, in Mt. Clemens.
The Bath City Roller are a local, skater-owned roller derby league based out of Mt. Clemens and include skaters from around Macomb County and Metro Detroit. Now in its third year, the league continues to grow and attract fans of all ages.

Tickets for the Feb. 16 bout are $10 at the door and $8 at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/328083. Parking at Gibraltar is $2.
Plus, this Saturday, send your Valentine (or your favorite derby girl) a little love by buying a $2 shout-out at the bout. Proceeds will go toward the American Heart Association.

Halftime entertainment will be provided by the students and teachers from Macomb’s Rock & Roll Prep School.
