What is Your Story of Life in Macomb Township?

The Macomb Township Historical Commission wants to hear from you.

The newly formed commission has created a website and wants Macomb Township residents to submit their stories of life in the community with an oral history project.

Last month, Macomb Township Supervisor Janet Dunn said she wanted to form a historical society.

Now the commission is up, running and taking action.

The group’s oral history project seeks volunteers to share their experiences, and the interviews will be posted on the website.

“Oral history obtains information from different perspectives, and provides details that often cannot be found in written sources or photos,” the group states on the website.

People interested in sharing their stories are asked to submit a form on the Macomb Township Historical Commission website.

The Macomb Township Historical Commission held its first meeting on Jan. 31, according to a report in the Voice.
