Residents and business owners are applauding the proactive move, especially after watching contentious data center fights in nearby townships and at the state Capitol. Expect robust public discussion as officials review how, or if, such facilities should fit into Northville’s future.
   

• Tigers re-sign Michigan native Dugan Darnell to minor-league contract (freep.com subscription) — A familiar Northville High School alum is getting another shot with the Detroit Tigers, as right-handed reliever Dugan Darnell has re-signed on a minor-league deal with a spring training invite. The Michigan native, recovering from hip surgery after debuting with the Rockies in 2025, could reach the majors again by mid-2026. His journey runs from Northville to Adrian College to MLB bullpens.
