Man Charged With Stabbing Woman At Wayne County Doughnut Shop: Prosecutor

Investigators believe this was a random attack.​​

LINCOLN PARK, MI — A Lincoln Park man has been charged in connection with a stabbing at a downriver doughnut shop Tuesday, prosecutors said.

The attack happened at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at a Dunkin' Donuts shop in the 4000 block of Dix Highway near Goddard Road in Lincoln Park, prosecutors said.

When officers arrived, prosecutors said they found a 33-year-old Allen Park woman with multiple stab wounds on her arms and right leg. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was expected to be ok, prosecutors said.

Jaydee Durden, 23, was charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm and felonious assault. He was placed in jail without bond. His next court date is scheduled for next Tuesday.

Prosecutors said Durden approached the woman and stabbed her multiple times with a knife before running away from the scene. He was arrested shortly after the attack, prosecutors said.
