1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 58 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low of 46 degrees. Winds will be at 11-16 mph with gusts up to 24 mph throughout the day and night.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the Novi area as of Friday night was $3.42 per gallon at the Speedway on Pontiac Trial and Beck Road.

3.  Make a scarf at the library

Today the invites youngsters to come in and make a fleece scarf to keep them warm in the winter. The event is in the Youth Activity Room from 2-3 p.m.

Second, Mayor-elect Bob Gatt and City Council members-elect Laura Casey, Dave Staudt and Wayne Wrobel will be welcomed into office on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center Atrium. All four will be officially sworn in at 6:45 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and light refreshments will be served.
