1. The weather
Today will be rainy with a high of 54 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 39 degrees.
2. Gas prices
According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the Novi area as of Sunday night was $3.35 per gallon at the Speedway on Haggerty Road near 8 Mile Road and at the Speedway on Novi and 10 Mile roads.
3. Welcome the new mayor, city council members
Mayor-elect Bob Gatt and City Council members-elect Laura Casey, Dave Staudt and Wayne Wrobel will be welcomed into office on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center Atrium. All four will be officially sworn in at 6:45 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and light refreshments will be served.

4. City council meets
The Novi City Council meets tonight at 7 in City Hall. The council has a light agenda, including discussion of council committee appointments.
