1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 62 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 46 degrees.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the Novi area as of Saturday night was $3.29 per gallon at six gas stations.

3. Aladdin Jr. continues

Novi Civic Theatre's production of Alladin Jr. opened Friday at the Civic Center, featuring 35 local youngsters. The last show of the weekend is today at 2 p.m., but you can catch it next weekend at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $12 for children and seniors and $15 for adults.

4. Help fight childhood cancer

Consider enjoying an evening of hors d'oeuvres, wine, desserts, music, and silent and live auctions in support of raising awareness of and eradicating childhood cancer tonight at 6 p.m. at the Toll Brothers Model Home, 17174 Crestbrook Drive (in the Steeplechase subdivision), Northville. The event is the work of Christoph's ALL Stars, a Northville-based nonprofit born of hope and survival. Tickets are $25 at the door.
