Novi Fire Department Promotes Four to Lieutenant
Officers Todd Seog, Mark Theisen, Remo Oliverio, and Joshua Bunse were promoted to the leadership position.

The City of Novi is pleased to announce the promotions of Fire Protection Officers Todd Seog, Mark Theisen, Remo Oliverio, and Joshua Bunse to Lieutenant with the Novi Fire Department.
“This is a key leadership position within our fire/EMS unit and these four individuals have demonstrated a proven ability in advancing the mission, vision and values of the Novi Fire Department. Working in conjunction with our full-time and part-time personnel, these lieutenants will continue to enhance the quality services our community is known for delivering,” said Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police David Molloy.
Lieutenant Seog has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and is certified as a Firefighter, EMT, Fire Inspector, CPR Instructor and a member of the Western Wayne Urban Search and Rescue Team. He became employed by the City of Novi in 1996.
Lieutenant Theisen completed his Associates Degree from Spec Howards School of Broadcast Arts and holds certifications as a Firefighter, EMT-Specialist, CPR Instructor, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire Inspector I and Fire Officer I, II and III. Theisen serves on the Western Wayne County Hazardous Material Response Team.
Lieutenant Bunse completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the Detroit College of Business and holds certification as a Firefighter, EMT, NFPA I Fire Inspector, Fire Officer III.
Lieutenant Oliverio attended the Macomb Community College Fire Academy where he received his Firefighter and HAZMAT Operations certification. Lieutenant Olivero is an EMT and NFPA Fire Inspector I. He will complete his Associates Degree in Fire Science from Macomb Community College in the spring 2013.
