Novi Honors Red Wing Tomas Holmstrom for Dedication to Youth Hockey

The Novi Youth Hockey Association has selected Detroit Red Wing and Novi resident Tomas Holmstrom to receive its highest honor this year: the TopCat Award.

The award is granted to those who show exemplary volunteerism and dedication to the advancement of youth hockey in Novi.

Holmstrom was presented with the award at Game Day on Nov. 5 at . During Game Day, children and families gather to celebrate and raise awareness of youth hockey in the community. 

Past recipients of the TopCat Award include early association organizers Jim Lewis and Paul Flavin, as well as the founder of Novi Game Day, Bernie Crowley.
