Two Teens Face Felony Charges From Fights at Twelve Oaks, Novi Apartment Complex
Two men who were involved in acts of violence Saturday have been charged in court.
Two teens who were Saturday at a Novi apartment complex and were arraigned on several charges in the Monday afternoon.
Both are charged as adults.
Mashal Franchot Thomas, 17 of Dearborn Heights, is accused of firing shots into the air during a fight at Saturday afternoon, according to Novi Deputy Police Chief Tom Lindberg. Thomas faces the following three charges:

- Carrying a concealed weapon, a 5-year felony or $2,500 fine
- Brandishing a firearm in public, a 90-day misdemeanor and/or $100 fine
- Reckless use of a firearm, a 90 day-misdemeanor and/or $100 fine
Mario Alante Williams, 18 of Detroit, is accused of pulling a gun from his waist during an apparently related fight a couple of hours later in of Twelve Oaks Mall, according to Lindberg. Williams faces the following charge:
- Carrying a concealed weapon, a 5-year felony or $2,500 fine
Bond was set at $5,000 for both teens. Thomas has a preliminary hearing to enter his plea on Nov. 16, and Williams has a preliminary hearing on Nov. 23.
