Where to Give Back in Novi This Holiday Season
Spread the joy by giving to these charity drives.

- : You can help support the Michael and Rose Assarian Cancer Center at St. John Health/Providence Park Hospital by purchasing items at the hospital's annual Christmas Sale. Hundreds of hats, shawls, scarves, afghans, and other hand-knit and crocheted gift items will be available to purchase, made by volunteer workers. The sale is Dec. 8-9 from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
- The Novi Athletic Boosters and several Novi sports teams have teamed up with Busch's for the "Season of Sharing" food drive through Nov. 23. Stop by Busch's to meet with athletes from 3:30-8 p.m. on weekedays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on the weekend to learn what food you can donate.
- Through the Bridgepointe non-profit organization, Novi Community Schools are trying to provide each of the 500 students at Logan Elementary School in Detroit with a gift bag full of basic necessities, winter essentials and a small toy. Each school has been assigned specific items to collect, so check with your PTO or administration to find out what you can bring in. The drive runs through mid-November.
- Michigan Surgery Specialists: The Novi office is teaming up with Oakland Regional Hospital and the Big Family of Michigan organization to collect toys for children waiting to be adopted or in at-risk situations. You can drop of new, unwrapped toys or Target gift cards for children — from infants to 18 years old — at 44000 W. Twelve Mile Road, Suite 205.
- and : These two eateries are pairing up with 89X radio for the "12 Days of Christmas" campaign to benefit Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit. From Nov. 25 to Dec. 6 Novi residents are encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys at Caribou and BD's. BD's will also be accepting monetary donations. 89X radio personality Reed will barista at Caribou in Novi on Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to noon, and 100 percent of his tips goes toward Goodwill's mission of helping Metro Detroiters get back to work. People who donate a toy also get a $1 discount on their next visit to Caribou.
