2 Sheriff's Deputies Hospitalized in Orion Township Fire
Deputies suffer smoke inhalation after knocking out blaze with fire extinguisher.

Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies and Orion Township fire crews were dispatched late April 20 to the 100 block of Burniah Lane for a report of a residential fire, according to an incident report.
When deputies arrived, they observed heavy smoke coming from the home, the report indicated.
The deputies forced their way into the home to check for people inside the house, according to the report, and knocked out the fire with a fire extinguisher.

According to the report, two deputies suffered effects of smoke inhalation and were taken by ambulance to McLaren Hospital.
Both deputies were treated and released, the report indicated.
