452 Customers Without Power In Oakland Township and Rochester Hills

According to DTE Energy, 1,234 customers in Oakland Township and Rochester Hills lost power at about 11 a.m. today in the neighborhood near Dutton and Brewster roads, including Brewster Elementary School.

Power was restored to some of those residences, including Brewster Elementary, around 12:30 p.m., though 452 customers are still affected by the outage.

"I am in Wellington Sub and my moms is North Fairview Farms," wrote Kelly Ferrazza Wysocki on Oakland Township Patch's Facebook wall. "Seems like the whole area near Brewster and Dutton (is) out."

A representative from DTE Energy confirmed the outage, saying service should be restored to the affected area between 1:30 and 3:30. The outage is blamed on a broken pole.
