In celebration of the Independence Day holiday, the Detroit Zoo will be open from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Independence Day.
Regular zoo hours from April 1 through Labor Day are Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; on Wednesdays in July and August, zoo hours are extended until 8 p.m.
