It's official – Troy has its very own Patch site!

Troy Patch launched yesterday afternoon under the watchful eye of its also-brand-spanking-new Local Editor, , who started his career in journalism as a paperboy delivering the Detroit News.

"The ink from the newsprint must have rubbed off the right way," Elliott wrote in his , "because nearly a quarter-century later, I'm still a newsie."

The site launches with a story about a , a police brief about four people and coverage of among other stories.
