Rangoli Indian Cuisine opened ten years ago and quickly became a favorite for Metro Detroiters. The restaurant, which has a smaller location in Sterling Heights, was named HOUR Detroit's "Best of Metro Detroit 2003" and Metro Times' "Best Indian" in its "Best of Detroit" from 2002-2004.

The restaurant was recently renovated in October 2010 and now features a chic bar in addition to ample seating in two separate dining areas. A variety of domestic and Indian beers and cocktails are available.

What really makes Rangoli a favorite destination for many locals, including students from nearby Oakland University, is its delectable native Indian dishes and affordable prices.

Rangoli's popular lunch buffet is affordable and draws in a large crowd, and the restaurant even brings in live musicians to play traditional Indian music on Fridays. Children can order the specially-priced lunch buffet or a combo meal that includes a popular entree, rice, drink and a dessert.

The restaurant also caters and has its own banquet facility for weddings and other large events.
