Deputies Say Orion Township Resident Attacked Victim With Hammer

The following information was provided by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Oakland County Sheriff's Deputies responded May 2 to the 500 block of Joslyn Road in Orion Township for a report of a home invasion, according to an incident report.

When deputies arrived, they located three people in the front yard of the home and determined a home invasion had not taken place, but deputies received a report of a felonious assault in which a victim had reportedly been struck in the head with a hammer, the report indicated.

Deputies arrested a 36-year-old Orion Township resident in connection with the incident. They remain in custody at Oakland County Jail pending a warrant.
