Driver Wanted for Questioning in Road Rage Incident
Oakland County Sheriff's: Incident led to May 4 motorcycle accident on northbound M-24 in Orion Township.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a road rage incident that they say led to a May 4 motorcycle accident on northbound M-24 in Orion Township at 5:40 p.m., according to department officials.
The motorcyclist was hospitalized in the accident, department officials indicated.
Witnesses to the accident told department officials a black Yamaha motorcycle engaged in a verbal dispute with an unknown driver of a red vehicle believed to be a newer Ford Focus or Fusion. Witnesses reported the two drivers appeared to have been in a verbal confrontation with hand gestures as they drove side by side as they passed Silverbell Road while northbound on Lapeer Road.

As the two vehicles neared Greenshield Road, the red Ford collided with the motorcyclist, causing the motorcycle driver to lose control and collide with the pavement, according to department officials.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital and treated with non-life-threatening injuries. It is believed the red Ford sustained some damage to the driver’s side of this vehicle and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public in identifying the vehicle and driver.
