Eagle Creek Academy Hosts Grandparents Day
Students show their grandparents and special guests some of the things they've learned so far this year.
students and their families took part today in the school's annual Grandparents and Special Guests Day.
Each year on the day before Thanksgiving, grandparents and other special guests are invited into the classrooms to see firsthand what the students do on a daily basis. This year, the students hosted grandparents from as far away as Ireland. The day included special musical performances, arts and crafts projects, hands-on science experiments, math games, Reader’s Theater and more.
"Grandparents and Special Guests Day is always an exciting day for our students,” Principal Cathy Rondeau said. "The children love to show off the skills that they have learned and enjoy completing projects with their special guests. It is one of our favorite days of the year."
