Giving Thanks for Opening Day

The in downtown Rochester is known for its delicious European-style cakes, cookies, desserts and breads.

Today, however, they're tossing aside the croissants in favor of hot dogs with homemade buns and sugar cookies painted like baseballs, complete with an Old English "D." And to top it off on opening day the inside of the cafe is lined with balloons, flags and penants.

"My favorite thing about opening day would be to see the Tigers win," said Jim Schuster, wholesale retail operations manager for Give Thanks Bakery. "And on a day like this, my second favorite thing would be that they actually get to play the game."
