Miller, Meech, McQuiston, Porter and Drakos Elected to Lake Orion School Board

The new board members will replace incumbents Kelly Weaver, Bob Gritzinger, Janet Wolverton and Tiffany Weber-Phillips; Steven Drakos was re-elected.

Here are election results, as reported by the Oakland County Elections Division.

10:30 p.m. – All 22 precincts have completely reported election results for the 2011 Lake Orion School Board election.

Melissa Miller, Connie Meech, Birgit McQuiston and Deborah Porter have been elected to the Lake Orion School Board for four-year terms. They will replace incumbents Tiffany Weber-Phillips, Kelly Weaver, Bob Gritzinger and Janet Wolverton. Weber-Phillips did not run for re-election.

Incumbent Steven Drakos was elected to a partial term ending in 2013 with 63.2 percent of the votes over write-in candidate and incumbent Bob Gritzinger.

10 p.m. – Eight of 22 precincts are reporting. For the two-year seat, Steven Drakos is still in the lead over write-in candidate Bob Gritzinger with 52.81 percent of the votes.

For the four vacant four-year spots, Melissa Miller is still in the lead with 12.74 percent, Brigit McQuiston is next with 12.4 percent of the vote, and Terrie Campbell and Mark Brackon follow with 11.18 and 9.48 percent, respectively.

9:15 p.m. – Seven of 22 precincts are reporting so far. For the two-year seat, Drakos is in the lead over write-in candidate Gritzinger with 56 percent of the votes.

For the four vacant four-year spots, Miller is in the lead with 13.39 percent, McQuiston is next with 13.05 percent of the vote, and Campbell and Brackon follow with 10.94 and 9.73 percent, respectively.
