It's no secret that kids don't always like eating what's on their dinner plates.

When I worked in daycare, I cared for toddlers who would eat nothing but sweet potatoes and cheerios for months at a time. My own son went through a phase where he would only eat blueberries (which made for interesting diaper changes).

Tips include offering praise just for trying a new food, and she also suggests simply leading by example and eating healthy foods.
