Driver Hits Falling Tree Branch; Officer Shoots Deer
The following information was obtained from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Substation in Oakland Township.

A tree branch fell on a 2010 Chevrolet van late Monday morning as it was traveling northbound on Adams Road near Dutton Road, according to a traffic crash report.
A tree-trimming crew that was working on the tree on the side of the road cut a branch, "and after it fell, it fell apart, and a branch flew over to the northbound side of Adams," according to the report.
The driver was not injured.

Officer shoots injured deer
An 's deputy responded Sunday morning to a report of an injured deer near East Romeo and Piney Hill roads. According to his report, both of the deer's hind legs appeared broken, so the deputy used his shotgun to put down the deer.
Thief racks up $4,300 bill on stolen credit card
An Oakland Township resident filed a fraud complaint Oct. 27 after his credit card was declined when he attempted to buy lunch, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

The man called his credit union, which confirmed that four purchases totaling $4,300 had been fraudulently made on his card, according to the report. A representative from the credit union advised him to file a police report.
