Oakland Township's sheriff's deputies did not have to make a single arrest for drunken driving on St. Patrick's Day, but they have had their hands full with a few other crimes around town this week.
Labradors attack two other dogs
At least one dog was injured after two Labrador retrievers attacked an 11-year-old male Portuguese water dog and a 9-year-old Labrador and husky mix along the 4100 block of Orion Road Thursday evening.
According to police reports, the Portugese water dog "had injuries to its neck and throat"; the owner was unsure if her other dog was injured.

The two Labrador retrievers were herded back into their yard. The dogs' owner said they "had an invisible fence, and the dogs usually remained in the yard." He also said both labs have had all their shots. The deputy advised the owner of the injured dog to keep her veterinary bills if she wants to legally pursue the owner of the Labradors for reimbursement.
Woman loses $7,000 rings
An Oakland Township woman misplaced two rings, valued together at roughly $7,000, at in Rochester Hills last Friday. According to police reports, the woman had "removed her two rings either at the table or in the restroom and accidentally left them" at the restaurant.

The woman called the restaurant the next day, but nobody there had seen them.
Identity theft victim stuck with $1,467 bill
A 50-year-old Oakland Township woman discovered Monday that someone had been using her social security number to take out loans in her name. She found when CFG & Associates, a collection agency, contacted the woman about the debt. According to police reports, the problem "has been ongoing since a computer had been stolen from her husband's work."
$1,400 stolen from woman's bank account
On Saturday, a woman woke up to a text message from her bank that her account had been overdrawn. The woman, who knew she had more than $1,400 in the account, immediately called the bank and discovered that someone had fraudulently transferred money out of her account over the phone, said police reports.
The bank will continue to monitor the activity in both her checking and savings accounts.
