Snapshot of the Day: Subway Returns to Oakland Township
The restaurant is scheduled to open in the next few weeks.

If you've driven by Country Creek Commons at Adams and Silver Bell roads recently, you may have noticed the shiny new Subway sign hanging just to the right of the UPS store. And if you're anything like Oakland Township resident Grant Castignola, you're more than happy to see the fast food chain return to the township.
"I like Subway," said Castignola. "I like to eat it whenever I can. It's hard to get it around here."
Though the restaurant is not yet ready to serve customers, the familiar deli-style counter top are already in place, and workers from Du-Aull Construction were working on the interior Monday afternoon.

The township has been without Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki subs and Italian BMTs ever since the Subway at Goodison Station moved out a few years ago.
Construction on the restaurant began in mid-April; it is scheduled to open in early- to mid-June.
