Volunteers Needed for Oakland Township 'Clean Scene' Event
The 44th annual clean-up event will begin at Township Hall at 9 a.m. May 4.

Volunteers are needed to help out at Oakland Township's 44th annual Clean Scene roadside clean-up event on May 4.
The event, which will begin at 9 a.m. at the Township Hall, is an effort to clean up the litter and debris left behind on local roadsides after the winter season.
Volunteers will choose in advance the roads they intend to clean or can be are assigned a road at the Clean Scene event, according to the township's web site.

Volunteers with pick-up trucks are also needed to patrol the township, collect the filled bags and bring them back to the compactor truck at Township Hall. Lunch is offered for volunteers after the clean-up.
