You Said It: This is Why We Donate Blood

Blood donors attending Friday's blood drive at St. Philip's Episcopal Church share why they donate.

Among the donors at today's are nurses, contractors, retirees and GM workers. Some are young, some are old, most are somewhere in between.

Blood drive coordinator Stephanie Ubaydi, an Oakland Township resident, is donating her fourth pint of blood today at . Rochester resident Jim Housel has donated more than 40 pints in his lifetime.

Polly Williams, of Rochester Hills, gave her 101st pint today.
