1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Fiery Crash On I-275 In Metro Detroit: Police

ROMULUS, MI — One person was killed and another person was injured in a fiery crash on Interstate 275 in metro Detroit early Sunday morning, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 1:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 275 near Interstate 94 in Romulus, according to police.
A 2021 Ford Edge was moving north on the freeway when it went off the left side of the roadway and struck a concrete bridge pillar, according to police.

The front-seat passenger was thrown from the SUV, which caught fire, trapping the driver inside, according to police.
The driver was killed in the crash, while the passenger was taken to a nearby hospital, where their condition was unknown, according to police.
