5 Hospitalized After Ambulance Crash In Van Buren Township
A Friday afternoon crash at Ecorse Street and Haggerty Road sent several people to the hospital with injuries.

VAN BUREN, MI — A total of five people have been hospitalized following a crash in Van Buren Township Friday involving an ambulance, reports say.
The crash happened around 1:05 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Ecorse Street and Haggerty Road. The ambulance was taking a cardiac arrest patient to the hospital with two paramedics working on the patient and a Van Buren Township firefighter driving, according to Michigan State Police.
When the ambulance approached the intersection, the driver slowed to make sure it was clear,WDIV reported. When it drove into the intersection, the ambulance was struck by another vehicle, causing it to roll onto its side, police said.
