Blue Powder Substance Found in Envelope Sent to Comcast
HAZMAT called to investigate suspicious package at cable provider's Plymouth Township facility.

Plymouth Township Police responded March 20 to Comcast, 41112 Concept Drive, for a suspicious letter received by the company.
The security investigator for Comcast told police blue powder was released from an envelope when it was opened, the report indicated. The investigator told police there was a blank sheet of paper inside the envelope and the worker told the investigator it looked like blue glitter.
Plymouth Township firefighters examined the substance and called HAZMAT, which advised employees to wash their hands with soap and throw away the package.

The security investigator told police the company received threats about every two weeks from customers.
According to the report, the envelope came from an address at Grand River Avenue in East Lansing, but at the time of the report, Comcast was unable to identify a customer at that address.

When police looked up the address, they found it matched the location of a Quality Inn.
