Gas Leak Under Repair Near Starkweather School

PLYMOUTH, MI — A contractor working on the old Starkweather School building on Holbrook Street has damaged a gas line near the building. The Plymouth police and fire departments, as well as Consumers Energy crews, are all on scene.

Consumers Energy is working to make repairs to the gas main in the area. City officials did not report any injuries or evacuations because of the gas leak. The incident occurred shortly before noon on Friday.
