Hello Field Families,

Find out what's happening in Plymouth-Cantonfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

 

  • The bookfair continues this week through November 19th.  Families can shop at this link or https://efairs.follettbookfairs.com/ and use the fair code: MW8K7.  Books from the website will ship to the school after the Thanksgiving break. If the package is a secret from your child please mark that on the order, otherwise, we will distribute it to the children to take home.  Students will have the opportunity to visit the book fair and shop during library class time.

  • Parent-Teacher conferences take place on Wednesday, November 17th and Thursday, November 18th.  Teachers have sent Sign-Up Genius links for virtual conferences.  If you have not signed up for a conference time please contact your child’s teacher.

 

  • Wednesday, November 17th and Thursday, November 18th are half-days of school.  School will dismiss on these two days at 12:10 p.m.

 

  • The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is facing challenges finding new employees for positions throughout the district.  This isn’t a unique problem for P-CCS, as schools across the country are dealing with staffing shortages.  Superintendent of Schools, Monica Merritt, talks with Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Labor Relations, Dr. Liz Vartanian-Gibbs, about the opportunities with the district and what makes Plymouth-Canton Community Schools a great place to work.  Check out this conversation on this exclusive 88.1 The Park podcast https://www.881thepark.com/category/podcasts/
