  • Durham Transportation, P-CCS’s transportation provider, is hiring a Transportation General Manager. The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $110,000 per year. The role of the General Manager is to lead the transportation team in day-to-day operations.

  • Shoutout to the Farrand Elementary School PTO, which is continuing its partnership with the Plymouth Community United Way to help support P-CCS families in need with an upcoming collection drive for essential goods.

    • The drive began during the first waves of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

  • Students are encouraged to bring donations to the school and drop them off in the United Way box, which is located at the front entrance of the school. 

  • Items that are needed include: canned and boxed food items, and hygiene and cleaning supplies. Gift cards for Meijer, Walmart, and/or Target in $15 or $20 amounts are also acceptable. Gift cards can be taken directly to the Plymouth Community United Way, as Farrand will not be handling gift cards as part of this drive.

  • Thank you to all of the Farrand PTO members and families for their leadership in serving families around the community!

  • The P-CCS Community Education team continues its great work to provide activities and enrichments for people of all ages in our community.

    • Community Education Basketball League (CEBL) has opened its registration. 

      • There are boys and girls leagues for grades 3rd/4th, 5th/6th. 

  • There are boys leagues for grades 7th/8th and 9th-12th. 

  • Continue to watch for updates about a girls league for grades 7th/8th. 

  • Please add your name to the waitlist if the course is full.

  • All updates on CEBL can be found on the official Community Education website

  • Details about the annual Ski Program will be released towards the end of this month. 

  • Our middle schools would like to thank Canton Leisure Services for their partnership during this past fall’s Cross Country season. 

    • Thank you to Canton Parks and the grounds staff for their great hospitality. This long-standing partnership has benefited our community in many ways, including allowing us to have a cross country season. 

    • Partnerships like this allow P-CCS to provide so many opportunities for our students in and out of the classroom.

  • We are happy to announce that the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park’s National Honor Society tutoring program has returned! 

    • This service is available to students from 3rd-12th grades. Tutoring is available on a first-come, first-served basis on any school subject. Please remember to bring any relevant textbooks or classwork to the session. 

  • Sessions will be held at both the Canton Public Library and the Plymouth District Library. Check here for a full list of dates and times. 

  • Students are required to wear masks during tutoring sessions. 

  • We want to remind the community that the P-CCS Parent Council will hold its second meeting of the school year this Friday, November 19 at 11:30am, at the E.J. McClendon Center in downtown Plymouth. 

    • Parent Council works as a liaison between P-CCS families and administration to provide a forum for open communication and act as an advocate for all parents, students, and schools. 

    • The recorded video of this meeting will be posted on the official P-CCS YouTube channel for you to watch at your convenience.
