Solar Eclipse: Where To Watch In Wayne County
Several Wayne County communities are holding gatherings for watch the solar eclipse on Monday.

WAYNE COUNTY, MI — Several Wayne County communities will be hosting solar eclipse viewing gatherings Monday. A partial solar eclipse will be viewable in Wayne County from approximately 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., with the maximum eclipse visibility at about 2:25 p.m.
Here’s a list of where a few of the gatherings will be held in Wayne County:
Plymouth: The Plymouth District Library is planning a public viewing of the eclipse at the 4 Seasons Pavilion at Township Park, from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. The early stages of the eclipse should be visible in this region, beginning at approximately I:00 p.m. Peak viewing time is expected at 2:27 p.m., with the eclipse still visible, but waning, until approximately 3:45 p.m. View some tips on how to view the eclipse safely from NASA's Total Eclipse site. Township Park is located at 46640 Ann Arbor Trail, east of Beck Road.

Northville: The Library will be showing Eclipse coverage from NASA on its large projection screens. We'll be using the feeds from the NASA TV and NASA Edge website, with two screens of coverage. Remember, the eclipse is expected to be overhead here around 2:27pm. Snacks and drinks will be on site. Bring your eclipse glasses!
Taylor: Heritage Park, 12111 Pardee Rd., Taylor, MI. Radio station WTCD will hold an eclipse party from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be free refreshments and NASA glasses.

Detroit: The Michigan Science Center in Detroit is hosting a full day of programming from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Visitors can watch the total solar eclipse throughout the entire day as MiSci live streams the event in the new Engineering 4D Theater. The theater will be open to all visitors on Eclipse Day and is included with paid general admission. Or, guests can join amateur astronomers outside the Science Center to experience the partial eclipse safely.
Livonia: The city of Livonia is hosting a pair of eclipse viewing parties with free admission, activities and complimentary eclipse viewing glasses. One will be held at the Alfred Noble Library, 32901 Plymouth Rd., and the other at the Civic Center branch, 32777 Five Mile Rd.
