The magical five-mile stretch of Hines Park features nearly 50 animated themed displays and more than 100,000 lights.
The Lightfest opens Thursday, Nov. 20 and will run through Dec. 24. It will be open Wednesday-Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m. It will also be open on Monday, Dec. 22 and Tuesday, Dec. 23 this year.

Officials warned wait times may be longer than normal on weekends due to its popularity.
Vehicles will enter Hines Drive from its Merriman Road entrance, which is roughly two and a half miles south of Interstate 96 in Westland. Due to road work in the area, cars can only enter the Lightfest from the north side of the Merriman Road Bridge.

It costs $5 for cars, $20 for a commercial van/RV/limo, $25 for a mini-bus (20-passenger) and $50 for bus (40-passenger).
The vehicle fees are typically paid in cash only on site, but fees can be paid in advance at the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center in Westland. Those ickets can be purchased with cash, check or Visa/Mastercard or over the phone with a credit card by calling (734) 261-1990 and tickets will be mailed to you.
Toy Night, which allows visitors to donate a new, unwrapped toy in lieu of paying the car entrance fee, will take place on Wednesdays, Nov. 26, Dec. 3 and Dec. 10. Commercial vehicles will not be considered for free admission.
