Front Porch Event Highlights Storytelling In Rochester
For the next installment of the new Front Porch Series, residents will gather at the home of Mayor Rob Ray.

ROCHESTER, MI — The Rochester Downtown Development Authority has announced its new event series, Front Porch Stories. Front Porch Stories will give area residents the opportunity to hear great stories from some of the town's most interesting people. And just like the name says, they'll do it all from a front porch.
For the second in the series, they’ll be front porching with Rochester Mayor Rob Ray on Thursday, Aug. 22.
“I am so excited to host Rochester’s next edition of Front Porch Stories," said Ray. "This new
event couldn’t be an older example of a strong community."

“Neighbors enjoying each other’s company and sharing stories on most sincere of
stages: the front porch. Mix-in some hometown hospitality and you have the recipe
to what makes Rochester 'home' to all of us," he added.
Mark your calendar for Thursday, Aug. 22 from 7-8 p.m. at Mayor Ray’s Front Porch, 894 Loggers Circle. Bring your lawn chair/blanket and organizer will bring the lemonade and cookies.

The final 2019 Front Porch Stories Event will be held Thursday, Sept. 12 with
Museum Director Patrick McKay at Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm.
Front Porch Stories is part of The Front Porch Project, a new initiative by the Rochester DDA. The goal of The Front Porch Project is to improve the quality of life for area residents, focusing on wellness, community, people and place.
