Oakland County’s Workforce Development Division serves as the Oakland County Michigan Works! Agency and collaborates with more than 3,000 employers annually to help them attract talent across the job spectrum. Get free help hiring talent for your business by calling 248-858-5520.
Teams from the Oakland County Michigan Works! offices submitted 165 applications for the Going PRO Talent Fund in 2021, resulting in Oakland County employers being awarded $3.4 million in grants from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity to share.
Since its launch in 2014 through last year, the Going PRO Talent Fund has provided 3,212 awards to Michigan employers with less than 100 employees, representing 61 percent of all awards given.Â
