Rochester Hills Hosts Blood Drive
The City of Rochester Hills is partnering with the American Red Cross. Here's how to donate.
ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — The City of Rochester Hills is once again partnering with the American Red Cross for the annual summer blood drive. Rochester Hills will be hosting this drive on Monday, Aug. 26. It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the City Hall Auditorium.
Since May, there has been about 80,000 less blood donations this year than the Red Cross expected. Without more donors, hospitals may not have the resources they need to save lives. Giving blood can help ensure the steady supply that patients undergoing transfusions need. The Red Cross and Rochester Hills urges eligible residents to encourage their friends and family, including those who have never donated, to make an appointment with them.
“Now more than ever, your donation can make all the difference,” states Mayor Bryan K. Barnett. We encourage residents to swing by City Hall and help patients in need.”
