Feature Photo: Tigers Starting Pitcher Shops at Royal Oak Meijers

On Friday he was in the Detroit Tigers' starting lineup, but today Doug Fister was lined up at the Royal Oak Meijers.

Royal Oak Patch reader Mark Stowers texted this photo of the Fister smiling for the camera.

"I was in line and the cashier recognized him," Stowers said. "She made a big deal about it so I took her picture with him and then I took one of him alone."

It didn't take long before the 6-feet 8-inch starting pitcher attracted a small crowd of autograph seekers, Stowers said.

"I think he just wanted to get in and out as fast as he could."
