Final Days Of Wild Lights At The Detroit Zoo

Have you seen the five million strong LED light display? The Zoo is honoring any unused tickets through Dec. 31.

ROYAL OAK, MI — If you haven't had an opportunity to be amazed by the Detroit Zoo's Wild Lights dazzling display, there is still time. Five days to be amazed, to be exact, as the show wraps the night of Dec. 31.

And if you already bought Wild Lights tickets but were unable to use them, the Detroit Zoo will honor your unused tickets now through Dec. 31, according to a press release. You don't need to lock in a new date or time – just show up with your existing ticket.

“We’ve had some extreme weather conditions on Wild Lights nights these past few weeks, so anyone with unused tickets is welcome to join us the remaining nights,” Gerry Van Acker, Detroit Zoological Society chief executive officer, said in a statement. “We want everyone to be safe, warm and dry.” And that should be easy, as there are five fire pits along the Wild Lights path to keep you nice and toasty, as well as stations you can buy hot chocolate and s’mores.
