Former Caribou Coffee Gets New Plywood Door Courtesy of DPS

Royal Oak Department of Public Service workers caught the attention of passersby on Main Street Sunday evening as they installed a plywood door at the former Caribou Coffee at 401 S. Main St.

The storefront's windows are covered in paper as the property is converted to a Peet's Coffee & Tea. The building's entrance, which had a key lock box, appeared to be compromised.

Lt. David Clemens, of the Royal Oak Police, said it did not appear anything was missing or disturbed inside the building. At this time it is unknown if there was a crime or if workers somehow left the door open.
