Intoxicated Woman Hit Oakland County Road Commission Salt Truck: Police
Police report the intoxicated woman had a Preliminary Breath Test of .18%.

ROYAL OAK, MI — An intoxicated Oakland County woman was arrested for rear-ending an Oakland County Road Commission Salt Truck, according to a police report.
Troy police responded to I-75 South just north of W. Fourteen Mile Rd. on Jan. 8 2:46 a.m. Once on the scene, officers found a white Volkswagen Jetta with severe front-end damage blocking the right through lane. The driver, a 25-year-old Royal Oak woman, told police she was attempting to make a phone call when she became distracted and crashed into the rear end of an Oakland County Road Commission Salt Truck.
Officers noted the smell of alcohol emanating from the woman, and she admitted consuming 2 alcohol drinks at a drinking establishment in Rochester. Police say she performed poorly on several sobriety evaluations and her Preliminary Breath Test came in at .18%.

The woman was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 2nd Offense. She was convicted of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol in 2011.
