Normandy Oak Park Input Sought

Royal Oak residents will get a chance to have their say on what they want to see in the new park at a public meeting.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Royal Oak residents will get a say in what features they’d like to see in Normandy Oak park at an Oct. 28 public meeting at the Royal Oak Schools Administration Building from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The former golf course will be transformed into the city’s largest park next year, according to a Royal Oak Daily Tribune report.

“We did a survey two years ago but we want to make sure we are up to date on what residents want” at the park, said Judy Davids, the city’s community engagement specialist.
“Top priorities that emerged in the 2015 survey suggest residents want a park that has natural features and includes such things as soccer fields, walking and biking trails.”
