Restaurant Week To Benefit Charities
bd's Mongolian Grill is one of more than 20 downtown Royal Oak restaurants participating starting Oct. 20.

ROYAL OAK, MI — From Oct. 20-29, visitors to downtown Royal Oak can enjoy a great meal at reduced prices and help several local charities at the same time. Royal Oak Restaurant week will feature more than 20 downtown restaurants, each of which will offer three three-course lunch and/or dinner menus for $15 – $35 a person.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Oakland and Macomb Counties, Gilda’s Club and the Royal Oak Animal Shelter will get share of $4,000 from the event. Diners will each cast a vote for their favorite charity, with the top vote-getting charity earning $1,500, second place $1,000 and third place $500.

No tickets or passes are necessary to attend the event, but organizers expect a large turnout and recommend diners make reservations. Here’s a list of participating restaurants:
