Rollover Accident Closes I-75 Northbound Near Eight Mile Road
The accident occurred at about 11:20 a.m., the Detroit Free Press reported. MDOT hopes to have lanes reopened by about 3 p.m.
METRO DETROIT, MI — All lanes of northbound I-75 near Eight Mile Road are currently closed due to a rollover accident involving a gravel truck, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred at about 11:20 a.m., the Detroit Free Press reported. MDOT hopes to have lanes reopened by about 3 p.m.
Drivers are being forced off the freeway at 8 Mile Road. MDOT suggests Woodward Avenue, Gratiot Avenue and John R as alternative routes, the Free Press reported. Depending on where they are headed, Cross suggested using Woodward, Gratiot or John R as alternative routes.

No injuries were reported. Michigan State Police are at the scene investigating. No details about what caused the rollover are yet available.
